(1) find non negative integer solution of the equation $(1-x)^x = 2^x$

Using Hit and Trail I have got $x=0$ (Trivial solution) and $x=-1$ (Non trivial solution)

I hav not getting any idea how to solve it.

(2) :Question:

Solve the equation $y^3= x^3 + 8x^2 - 6x + 8$ for positive integers.

For Second answer When We Put $x=9,$ We Get $y=11$ . So one pair is $(9,11)$ ,

Thank you. My mistake. The final equation for y=x+2 is: $x^2 - 9x = 0$ so x=9 (and y=x+2=11). This is the only solution (I believe :-)).

Edit: mistake: mistake is not misstake but mistake. :-)
