probability

If $A$ and $B$ are two events such that $P(A)=\frac{3}{5}$ and $P(B) = \frac{2}{3}$

Then

$(i)\;\; P(A\cap B)\in $

$(ii)\;\; P(A\cup B)\in $

$(iii)\;\; P\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)\in $

$(iv)\;\; P\left(\frac{B}{A}\right)\in $

Re: probability

I will answer only (i), other points are similar:

Re: probability

↑ stuart clark:
I tried to find "best" and "worst" cases - i.e. A,B can be seen as a subsets of I:=<0;1> interval and we are trying to find such sets A,B of given measures that has the biggest and least measure of intersect - the biggest intersect is when A is part of B, i.e. measure is 3/5 and the least intersect is when A and B cover I completely, then the measure of intersect is 4/15. I hope there is no problem with "unmesurable" sets.

In the same manner - find worst case and best case...
